"Water break its neck"
|
Water-break its neck has a number of walks and there is also a nature trail
for the children. The waterfall is not always at full capacity but
it is still a nice walk through the Radnor Forest. There is
believed to be a very rare fern in this location. More information

"From the Castle Mound" |
Further along the A44 is New Radnor
village. There are a number of walks from here including one
through another part of the Radnor Forest up to the Whimble,
(this is quite steep and not for the feint hearted). The
village dates back to the 11th century and can be best seen
from the castle mound. |

"Elan Valley Dam" |
The lovely Elan Valley Lakeland's of
Mid Wales are well worth visiting. The Elan valley has five
lakes Caban Coch, Garreg-Ddu, Pen-y-Garreg, Craig-Goch and the
more recent Claerwen reservoir. An aerial view is shown at the
bottom of this page but visit the following website for
more details.

"St Michael" |
The church of St. Michael is one of
seven churches which surrounds the grave of the mythical Welsh
Dragon, which is next door to our 400 year old inn. The
church is worth a visit as is the church yard which probably
dates back to the pre-Roman era and is surrounded by very
ancient Yew trees. |
